Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

Nudgee is a small family-built app that helps a child get through their getting-ready routine one step at a time on an Apple Watch. The parent sets it up and stays in control. The child just follows the steps.

This policy explains what we do with personal data on our website at nudgee.co and our early-access email waitlist. We have written it in plain language because you should not need a law degree to understand what happens to your email address.

Two promises sit underneath everything below. We do not run advertising and we never will. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. You are the customer. Your child is never the product.

Who we are

Nudgee is run from Australia by the small team behind nudgee.co (right now, that is mostly one dad). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. That means we decide what data we collect and why.

If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at hello@nudgee.co and a real person will reply.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the nudgee.co marketing website and the early-access email waitlist only.

The nudgee app itself is not generally available yet. When it launches it will have its own fuller privacy notice covering how the parent app and the watch app handle data. This website policy does not try to cover the app. We will point you to the app notice before you set up an account.

What we collect

Right now we collect very little, on purpose.

Your email address. If you join the early-access waitlist you give us your email address. That is the only personal detail we ask for.

Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting may record limited technical information such as your IP address and browser type as part of delivering the site securely. We keep this minimal and we use it to run a working, safe site, not to build a profile of you. See the Cookies and analytics section below.

We do not collect children's personal data through this website. The website is built for parents and other adults. We do not ask for a child's name, age, photo or any other detail about a child here.

How and why we use your data, and our lawful basis

We use your email address to:

The lawful basis for the waitlist emails is your consent, which you give when you sign up. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we sent before you withdrew it.

The lawful basis for basic site operation and security is our legitimate interest in running a working, safe website. We weigh that against your privacy and keep the data involved to a minimum.

We do not use your data to make automated decisions about you. We do not profile you for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and the waitlist. They only process your data on our instructions.

That is the whole list. We do not share your personal data with advertisers, ad networks or data brokers. We do not sell your personal data and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We have never done this and have no plans to.

We may disclose data if the law genuinely requires it, for example a valid legal request, but we will resist anything overbroad.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you ask us to stop. You can unsubscribe from any email or email us at hello@nudgee.co and we will remove you. Once the early-access programme ends we will delete waitlist emails we no longer need. Basic technical data is kept only for a short period and in a limited form.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal data. Which ones apply depends on where you live, but we try to honour the spirit of all of them for everyone.

If you are in the UK, EU or a similar regime, you have the right to:

If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right still stands. You also have the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

To use any of these rights, email hello@nudgee.co. We will respond within the time the law allows, normally within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, which usually just means replying from the email address we hold.

International data transfers

We are a small operator and some of our providers are based in other countries. For example Klaviyo is based in the United States, so your email address may be processed there. When your data moves outside your own country we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent legal mechanism, so that your data stays protected to a similar standard. If you want detail on the safeguards for a specific provider, email us.

Children's privacy

Nudgee is a tool for families, but this website is intended for parents and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through nudgee.co. If you believe a child has given us their data through this website, email hello@nudgee.co and we will delete it promptly.

When the app launches it is set up and controlled by the parent. Our commitment there is the same as it is here. We collect as little as possible about a child, we never use a child's data for advertising and the parent stays in control of it. We take children's privacy rules seriously, including the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and the children's design codes in the UK and elsewhere, and the app's own privacy notice will set out exactly how we meet them.

Cookies and analytics

We keep cookies and tracking to the bare minimum needed to run the site.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. It is privacy-friendly and cookieless: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not build a profile of you. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad tracking. Our hosting may set essential cookies needed to deliver the site securely.

Changes to this policy

As nudgee grows, and especially when the app launches, we will update this policy. When we make a meaningful change we will update the date at the top and, where it matters, let waitlist members know by email. Please check back now and then.

How to contact us or make a request

For anything to do with your privacy, including using any of your rights, email us at hello@nudgee.co. We are a small team and we read every message.
